The inside of the cement kiln causes erosion of the plasma torch due to the turbulence of a large amount of combustion air and the scattering of the raw material particles of the clinker at a high temperature of 1,500℃ or higher, which greatly affects the operation stability. Metal covers and preserve nozzles were applied to enable stable plasma operation for a long time even under weak environmental conditions.
